Her next nine years in outplacement, working with people who'd been let go, became her "graduate degree" in understanding people's approach (or lack thereof) to their careers. She learned what happens when professionals don't manage their careers strategically. This combination of HR leadership and outplacement expertise gives her unique insight into both organizational dynamics and individual career management.
