Juan grew up in the Ohio/Kentucky area in the 1960s and 70s with a single mother and humble beginnings, positioning him as an underdog. He started working at 14 as a Rent A Kid to help lighten his mother's load, eventually working alongside her in the University of Cincinnati cafeteria where he saw her dedication up close. As the first of nine children to graduate college with an Industrial Engineering degree, he learned that hard work, humility, and seeing beyond circumstances to potential could overcome any hurdle. His entire career has been shaped by this foundation: someone saw beyond his circumstances to his full potential and shared their superpower with him, changing his life. Now he dedicates his life to sharing his superpower with others.
